The cultural situation of our town is desolate, as dry as dust. Since the
theatre died, the most spiritual institutions of our town are the
slaughterhouse and the prison. People hungry for cultural events go to the
slaughterhouse to see cattle and pigs perform their deaths and their
transformation to food. It's better than nothing.
A crisis. The intendant and the director were in conflict, as the intendant
was very discontented with the director. The director and the screenwriter
were fired. The play was interrupted for an undefinite time and a new
director and screenwriter are sought. The public didn't like the play and
boohs were shouted. The play was poor indeed, although the actors did their
best under these unfavorable conditions.
The play will be continued as soon as a new screenwriter and a new director
are hired and put things up again.
We apologize and hope to be able to offer a better performance soon.
I started this blog with the idea to post pictures and comments about
strange/curious mechanical inventions (see first postings), but I changed
my mind. Maybe I'll do that some other time.
I decided to start a theater piece featuring objects I find around here.
The objects will form the stage set on which other objects will act. Of
course something like this would be interesting as animated movie, but that
would require a clear idea and a concept, and a lot of work.
I will do this without a concept, without an idea (except the idea to try
it) and with practically no work invested.
Here we present the stage, the scenery where it all happens.
